Djeleanna is proud to support Western Australian rodeo competitor Hunta Gallacher as she continues to make her mark on the national stage.
Originally from the small town of Muchea in Western Australia, the 24-year-old qualified for two events at the 2025 ABCRA Australian National Finals Rodeo, achieving impressive rankings across multiple categories. Hunta now heads into the 2026 national finals ranked:
- No. 1 in WA and No. 4 in Australia for Barrel Racing
- No. 1 in WA and No. 8 in Australia for Steer Undecorating
- No. 1 in WA and No. 2 overall in the All Round Cowgirl standings
With an Australian title within reach, Hunta has made the decision to travel interstate with her own horses, a commitment that comes with significant costs including fuel, feed, accommodation, entry fees, and the additional gear required to compete at the highest level.
Despite the challenges, Hunta remains determined, saying:
“It’s a massive commitment, but one I’m determined to chase with everything I’ve got. This is a huge honour and an even bigger adventure.”
Last year, Djeleanna proudly sponsored Hunta as she competed in the 2025 ABCRA National Finals, where she qualified for two events and delivered outstanding results:
- 2025 Western Australian Triple Crown
- 2025 WA ABCRA Open Barrel Racing Champion
- 2025 WA ABCRA All Round Cowgirl Champion
- 2025 WA ABCRA Steer Undecorating Champion
- 2025 WA Open Barrel Horse of the Year
Reflecting on the season, Hunta said she was proud of her horses’ performance and that the journey was well worth it, stating:
“I can’t thank the team of horses I had underneath me all year enough for getting this done, my sponsors for helping me get down the road, and my village of people who pushed me and kept me pushing to the end.”
With founder Bevan Wally’s background as a seasoned pastoralist and rodeo competitor, Djeleanna has a genuine appreciation for the commitment required at the highest level of competition. This shared understanding is why Djeleanna is proud to support dedicated regional athletes like Hunta as they pursue their goals on the national stage.
